Amberley is situated a 35min drive north of Christchurch and Christchurch Airport on State Highway 1. It is also at the intersection of State Highway 71 which takes you on the Inland Scenic Route through the middle of the South Island. Amberley is the southern gateway to the Alpine Pacific Triangle with Hanmer Springs a 55min drive and Kaikoura a 1 hour 55min drive. Delhaven Motels is a 10min drive to Waipara Valley Wineries where you can enjoy excellent wine and food. The Amberley Beach is a 5min drive, where the 18-hole golf course is located. An award-winning restaurant and other dining establishments are within an easy walk as are traditional country pubs. Nearby is a new shopping centre with Countdown, an ale house and many other shops. There is a variety of walks in the area from easy flat river or wetland to challenging mountain hikes. The complex is situated on one hectare of grounds and gardens and has a bed for every budget: camping, power sites, cabins, standard motel units and deluxe motel units.
