Yia Nuka Aboriginal Cultural Experience, is an interactive Indigenous cultural tour, based West of Alice Springs, in Central Australia. Providing a unique opportunity for authentic cultural engagement, it offers a personal insight into Aboriginal culture.

Yia Nuka means... My Story. Visitors engage in an intimate conversation with Kathleen Buzzacott, an internationally renowned Aboriginal artist of proud Pitajantjatjara and Western Arrernte heritage. Kathleen and her family invite to you to their home and art studio, situated on Arrernte Native Title Homeland. This is a rare opportunity, not usually available to the public without a permit. It's made possible by the permission of the Traditional Owners, including Kathleen’s husband, Keith. Kathleen Buzzacott is an artist, designer, poet and entrepreneur. Join her as she reveals her life story with humour and honesty, sharing the intimacies of her family and their connection to each other. Learn about ancient traditions like the art of jewellery making, seed collection and bush tucker and how they translate into the modern world. An experience not to be missed. From the air- conditioned comfort of Kathleen’s beautifully appointed art studio, you’ll marvel at the stunning views of the West MacDonnell Ranges and… don’t forget to check out the International Award Winning toilets, while you’re there!
